Year 2024 in review
I know, like why the hell one is writing a yead wrap. As clearly, he isn't the one read anywhere. It does not make sense. But it makes sense to him. So have at it.
The year was pretty much focused around growth and focus on the builder's skills. I look back and pat myself on the back for certain things I did, mostly related to getting the ability to pull of things, that are done for the first time in scope of an org or maybe a fair large town square. I had switched working to a remote based job, as I got referred to it by the person who I report to. I kinda want to label it as like I got it because I was able to show some sense of ownership or skill, but I can't.
I did some things in 2024.
- Built a mobile app targeting 3 platforms: Android, iOS, and Web.
- Worked on product analytics as the driver of decisions; focused on the incubation stage.
- Experienced burnout several times; it was fun sometimes.
- Attended fewer meetups than last year, but still had my share of curiosity.
- Started playing Table Tennis and a handful of times, played chess.
- Traveled to Goa, Udaipur, Chandigarh, Rishikesh, and my village in Kannauj, U.P.
- Learned about growth trajectories and various roadmaps in the current plan and alternate playout.
- Read 6-7 books, around 3 in hindi, broad range of podcasts, and rewatched Suits thrice. Loved Lost in Space and watched some Quentin Tarantino classics on a friend's recommendation.
- Attended a couple of conferences outside my niche to expand my interests.
- Engaged in professional deals, believing good people think well of you.
- Journaling more than reading.
- Bought X premium and experienced burnout; there should be a year wrap for hours wasted on Instagram and spent on X.
- Tried learning an instrument and gave up.
- Got to explore multiple functions of a startup like SEO, sales, ops and product development based on user behavior.
So, even though I was working tirelessly at times, I did not take wise action to get up and take break on proper intervals and overworked more than a couple times. It only proved me my stupidity.
Wrote a couple excerpts, in captions, some are in the binders and some are stupid, meaning hidden away. I have strong political views and load of crap I consume from shorts and reels related to communal actions and the reality of the sequential events that I witnessed offline confuses my gotchas, multiple times. So it's another land of mental void that consumed my time at Earth.
Anything does not make sense in relative scenarios, but it makes the whole thing important in quantum playouts. For everything, there is nothing declarative, you just follow imperative handbooks and until the patterns are picked and you can afford the declarative syntax of your life and your surrounding. So, let's pull the distant thought from past and throw it in future to predict, presume, plan and estimate. We will restart this again next year.
Cheers
